Laundry
Laundry is a catalog plus a pickup. The desk sets what can be sent and how fast it returns. The guest picks from that list, and the desk tracks the job through to delivery.
The guest never describes a garment in free text if the desk has published it. Shirt press, a suit, or an express wash each carry a turnaround and a price. Pickup and return stay on that room, so the laundry desk can see which jobs are still out and which have gone back.
On the desk
- Publish items, turnaround, and price.
- Add or retire a garment when the valet list changes.
- Receive pickup requests with the garment and the room.
- Move a job to accepted, then done, when it is back in the room.
On the stay screen
- The live catalog: press, suit, express wash, and whatever else the desk has published.
- Turnaround and price before they send anything down.
- A send action that creates a laundry request.
- A status line when the desk accepts or completes the job.
How this desk runs

Set the catalog
Each line is a garment or a service, a turnaround such as same day or 24 hours, and the price the room will see.

Guest sends it
They pick from that list. The request records the item and the room, so valet knows where to collect it.
- 03
Accept the pickup
Accept tells the guest the laundry desk has the job. The stay screen shows that status on the same thread as the order.
- 04
Mark it returned
Done is the return to the room. The guest sees the job close without calling housekeeping.
